In December 2018, we commissioned a
survey which revealed that 30% of Veterans
with psychological wounds say they have
never reached out for support. For those
that have, it takes an average of four years
before they ask for help.
WE BELIEVE THAT THIS IS TOO LONG.
This year, we are asking the nation to help us call time
on the stigma that surrounds mental health issues
amongst Veterans. Those who have served often find
it difficult to ask for help, with fear of stigma one of
the major reasons.
No Veteran should feel the need to suffer in silence
and we want to ensure that those who are in need of
mental health support know how and where they are
able to access it, as soon as they need to.
DID YOU KNOW
IT TAKES AN AVERAGE
OF FOUR YEARS FOR AN ARMED FORCES
